Fact: We're a new union, dedicated to the future.

Local 166 is a 109-year-old business, but operates with new leadership and a new mindset. We have the stability and knowledge of the past and with guidance from previous leadership and our board, we have new ideas about how to keep improving and providing the best for our members. We know that the only way to continue to prosper is to maintain and grow our tradition of excellence.

Fact: We care about the communities we work in.

We are becoming more of a presence in the community, a priority that is fundamental to the values of the union. Local 166 donates nearly 600 hours to community service a year collectively and is involved  with numerous charitable programs.

Fact: Education and training is our key differentiator.

We want to make a difference by focusing on continued education and training as a top priority for our members. We make sure that we have highly skilled workers for our contractors, because they're our customers. in fact, Local 166 has partnered with IVy Tech for more than a decade to make sure that members are receiving the best training possible.

Fact: We offer the best benefits and support system for members.

Local 166 has a great retirement program, good insurance plans and our members can work anywhere in the US and Canada. Plus all the members of the union provide a support system that is hard to match in any other organization. We become almost an extended family that our members come to count on.
